A weekend of tastings in Copenhagen

Copenhagen rewards a slow tasting weekend. Distances are short, the drinking culture is relaxed, and almost every producer speaks English.

Start Saturday late morning at a harbourside distillery. Nordic gin leans herbal rather than heavily juniper-driven, and a good host will let you nose the raw botanicals before you taste.

Break for lunch, then walk to a natural wine bar in Nørrebro. Ask for a flight rather than a bottle — you will taste four producers for the price of one indulgence.

Sunday belongs to beer. The city's brewery taprooms open early enough for a mid-morning flight, and most run a guided tasting at least once a day.

Book confirmed slots in advance in summer. Small venues fill quickly, and a request-based booking still needs the host to confirm within 24 hours.
